RICK WRIGHT DONATES PLATINUM WALL FOR TSUNAMI APPEAL

In a special auction held last night, a platinum award for Pink Floyd's The
Wall album was sold for €31,500 (approximately US$41,150) in aid of the
Tsunami appeal.



The auction was organised by Greek National TV (ERT) and the platinum
disc was a gift from Franka Wright, the Greek fashion designer who
married Richard Wright in 1984. She stated that Richard loves Greece so
much that he was very happy to do it.

Franka presented the award herself to the eventual winner of the auction -
a Greek man from Filothei, Athens. The award was one of many special
items donated to the auction, which was set to raise a lot of money for the
appeal.
